Helping Rescue Dogs Find their Forever Homes
Last week, I had the privilege of spending my morning with some of Charlotte’s most photogenic—and adoptable—dogs at the vibrant Hearts Wall mural in South End (1930 Camden Rd, Charlotte, NC 28203).
Through a partnership with the incredible local rescue Halfway There Rescue, I donated my time to help these sweet pups shine in front of the lens—and hopefully, find the forever homes they deserve.
As a Charlotte-based photographer, I believe photos should do more than just capture a moment—they should create emotion, connection, and action. And what better way than helping a dog find their person?
Why I do this 🐾
These aren’t just “dog photos.” These are first impressions.
For a rescue pup, a great photo can be the difference between being scrolled past and being seen.
I’ve seen it time and time again—when you show the world a dog’s soul through a photograph, you give that dog a second chance. That’s why I volunteer for rescue organizations like Halfway There.
Each dog had their moment in the spotlight—ears flopping, tongues out, heart-shaped backdrops, and eyes full of hope. And trust me, they rocked their mini sessions.
